Senior Prom and Eighth Grade Formal

Seth looked mighty handsome for the 8th grade formal. Hard to believe my baby's growing up. Seth and his date, Megan
Luke & Jessica before the Senior Prom. Their prom was held on the Watts Bar Belle, in Kingston.

David Wyatt Francis

It's been a long time since I posted anything. My life has been rather chaotic for a while now. But today my 6th grandchild was born. David Wyatt Francis entered this world at a little after 8 a.m. (7 a.m. in Nebraska). He weighed 6 lbs and 13 oz. Both mom Tasha and baby Wyatt are doing well, as is big sister Kylie and proud dad Aaron. Wyatt evened up the numbers, 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. I am a blessed woman!
Isn't he handsome!
More pictures to follow when Aaron sends them to me or we make it to Nebraska somewhere around the 21st.

Kylie's First Birthday

In January, Aaron, Tasha & Kylie came home for a visit. Kylie's birthday was the 25th and we were able to have her party while she was home. She had lots of help opening her presents, Meg, Keinzie, Kyra, Elijah & Seth.

Kylie really liked the doggie we got her.

The cake really interested her, too.

Though a litte tentative at first, she soon got the hang of it.

Merry Christmas From All Of Us

I think that the older you get, the more you realize what's important. What day you celebrate on or where you celebrate is not what's so important. What is truly important is who you celebrate with. Being with family is what's important. And when family members can't be with you, they are really missed. We had many who couldn't be with us this year and we missed each and every one of you. Some were sick, some had to work, and some are off serving their country. Aaron is away on a mission and Tasha and Kylie are celebrating alone in Nebraska. Jason is at Cherry Point and couldn't come home. Myron was in Austria, soon to be back in Italy and then off to Iraq. We thought about you, and talked about you, and are praying for you!! We love you and miss you, and we all want to wish you a Very Merry Christmas!!

One Coming and One Going!

Jason returned to the good ole U.S.A. on Sunday evening and Aaron left the good ole U.S.A. on Monday evening. Not a very good tradeoff! I want both of my boys on safe soil! Somehow, the U.S. Military doesn't ask my opinion on that one!

He's Here!!

Words cannot describe how good it was too see him come of that bus and know that he made it home safe and sound!!
God is so good!!
He's still the same old Jason!!
Rob gave him a hand with his stuff. Do ya think he missed his car?
Nahhh.....

Waiting on Jason, and waiting and waiting...

Seth, Rob & Trish Dad
The hotline said they would be arriving at 3 p.m. So, we got there just a few minutes before 3 because it said it would take them about an hour to get to the buidling from the flightline. And then they announced it would be 4. Then 4:30. Then 5. They finally arrived at 5:45.

We're at Atlantic Beach

This is not the best picture. I snapped it with my camera phone and it was almost dark. It was a beautiful sunset, though. We made it to Havelock and went and walked in the surf at Atlantic Beach. Jace should be here tomorrow evening. Can't wait to see him!

Middle School Jackets Beat the Bobcats

Before the Game

Seth on the Kickoff Return Team Seth scooped up the ball and ran for about 30 yards.

Seth on defense (far right). He came across the field and tackled the Bobcat with the ball and caused him to fumble. Alan fell on the ball and recovered it for the Jackets. I was too busy watching to snap a picture of that. But trust me, it was good!

Final score, Jackets 24, Bobcats 16. The Jackets start off their season with a win. They only won one game the whole season last year and it was against the Tigers.

Seth after the game, rather proud of himself! Mom sure was proud of him too!
