They're Home!

Aaron, Tasha, Kylie & Wyatt made it to Tennessee this morning. It was so good to have all my family together at one time. That's hard to do sometimes when there is 17 in your immediate family! They were all here today except Keinzie. She's at her Dad's. Here are some of my favorite pictures from today.

Five of my grandkids. Owen, Elijah, Kylie, Kyra & Wyatt. Only Keinzie is missing.

Charlie & Malachi's New Toy

Charlie & Malachi have been wanting a pool table for a while. They got one the other night. Everyone has been enjoying it. Papaw J even played some pool with the boys. I believe it was Papaw & Malachi against Jason & Luke. Not sure who won, but there was a lot of ribbing going on during the games. Papaw will be 81 on January 16th.

Christmas Eve at Malachi & Misty's

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Malachi & Misty's. Mackeinzie had to leave afterwards to go to her dad's, so she opened all her presents. Kyra, Elijah and Owen opened theirs from Keinzie. The rest of us are waiting until New Year's Eve, when Aaron and Tasha and the kids will be here. We are going to celebrate our Christmas then, so we can all be together. Unfortunately, Keinzie will still be at her dad's. Mamaw and Papaw opened a couple of theirs, and will open the rest on New Year's.

Our Church Christmas Play

Our church Christmas play was last Sunday night. The kids, as usual, did a wonderful job.
Skylar, Brooke & Faith sang a beautiful arrangement of "Oh Holy Night", one of my favorite Christmas songs.
The little kids had a birthday party for Jesus, where the gifts were that they gave Him their hearts.
Seth had one of the bigger speaking parts. He was a "ham" as usual. He also had a trumpet with his part, which he gave to Kyra after the play. ENJOY, RACHEL!!

The whole cast.

At the end, they all sang "We Wish You A Merry Christmas"

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to All!

This Christmas has been a bit different for me. My goal was to have all my Christmas shopping done by the day after Thanksgiving, and then I would have plenty of time for baking and candy making and doing lots of extra stuff with my grandkids. Needless to say, that didn't happen. I got sick a bit before Thanksgiving with a bad cough and tightness in the chest. Which turned into pneumonia. I just finished the last round of antibiotics and am feeling more like myself. Although I did get my shopping done, I didn't get to do much else extra. And I didn't get any Christmas cards out until last Sunday, and that was mostly at church, where the junior class passes them out to the church members. So to all of you who should have got a Christmas card and didn't, I want to wish you a Very Merry Christmas filled with God's Love, and a Very Blessed New Year!
